I had the opportunity to document what was undoubtedly one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever photographed. Lauren and Armand’s journey of love and commitment culminated in a beautiful celebration at the Lumber Baron Inn and a reception at the Enigma Bazaar, where they shared their very first kiss under the sign in front of the bar. From the moment I met them, it was clear that this couple possessed a quirky, fun attitude towards life that was contagious.

As a photographer, my aim is not only to capture beautiful images but also to delve deeper into the emotions and meaning behind each moment. Lauren and Armand’s wedding day was filled with pure love and gratitude, and I wanted to document their family’s bond and genuine happiness on this special day. The venue, the Lumber Baron Inn, provided the perfect backdrop for their union. Nestled in Denver, Colorado, it exuded an old-world charm that perfectly complemented Lauren and Armand’s aesthetic. Built in 1890, the Lumber Baron wore many hats through the years. Now used as a Venue and a Bed and Breakfast, the beauty of this home is right up my alley for creating photos.

The Enigma Bazaar, where their reception took place, holds deep significance for Lauren and Armand. For their first date, they met at the Infinite Monkey Winery. The date was going so good that Armand invited Lauren to his friend’s bar Enigma Bazaar, that was opening that night. It was here that they had their first kiss, and so it made sense for them to celebrate their love in the very place where it all began. The energy within the room was palpable, as their friends and family gathered to toast to their happiness and embark on this incredible journey alongside them.

As a photographer, I believe in the power of images to evoke emotions, to capture moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. I strive to document not just what is seen, but what is felt.
